Career Planning, Decision, and Transition Counseling

Career planning helps employees proactively to seek out experiences that will
move them toward their career goals, instead of leaving their career track
to happenstance. It involves creating a career development plan with specific
professional goals and identifying steps the employee can take to achieve
those goals.
Career decision counseling means working with employees to help them step back
and evaluate their career in the context of their larger life picture. It
involves assisting in deciding what steps to take next in their career, whether
moving forward or laterally or exploring other options altogether.
Transition counseling is indispensable to employees leaving an organization,
helping them to better understand the process of finding another job and
how to explore contract or entrepreneurial work or even retirement. We work
with employees in career transition to help them assess their capabilities,
evaluate at what point they are in their lives, and determine what should
come next.
